| Auburn Tigers will play five consecutive home games to open the season according to the 2005 football schedule released today.
The Auburn Tigers will open the season against Georgia Tech on Sept. 3 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn Tigers leads the all-time series with the Yellow Jackets, 47-40-4.
Auburn Tigers' next four games include Mississippi State (Sept. 10), Ball State (Sept. 17), Western Kentucky (Sept. 24), and South Carolina (Oct. 1). Auburn Tiger were originally scheduled to play Southern Miss on Sept. 24, but the Golden Eagles asked to be let out of the game due to scheduling conflicts.
The Auburn-Western Kentucky game will be designated as Homecoming.
Following an open date on Oct. 8, the Auburn Tigers will play four of the next six games on the road with away games scheduled at Arkansas (Oct. 15), LSU (Oct. 22), Kentucky (Nov. 5) and Georgia (Nov. 12). Auburn Tigers will play Ole Miss (Oct. 29) and Alabama (Nov. 19) at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
